Intervista a Tiziano Aglieri Rinella su Hotel Design

Obiettivo? Essere
competitivi razionalizzando i costi.

Manhattan’s Hotel Wales, an Upper East Side staple since 1901, underwent a multi-million dollar renovation scheduled that was completed by Fall 2009. The chic, boutique hotel’s 89 luxurious guestrooms provide guests with beautiful city and skyline views and stands in the center of New York’s leading attractions.

The renovated guestrooms will include new modern, elegant bathrooms accented with deluxe finishes in the Standard Rooms, floor and wall refurbishments in the Classic Rooms, new wiring for high-speed Internet throughout the hotel, and VOIP phones and HD flat panel TVs in all guest rooms. A new fitness studio will be available to guests, and the hotel’s meeting and event space will be enhanced with three new state-of-the-art meeting rooms, pre-function space, the re-designed Carnegie Lounge and refurbished Roof Top Terrace, renamed “The Carnegie View at the Hotel Wales.

“The renovation is an important step in the hotel’s effort to provide value to guests and stand out among our competitors,” notes Robert Holmes, General Manager. “In addition to the renovation, we recently unveiled an updated website which aims to capture a larger market share of the increasingly web-dominated hospitality industry.” Designed to be more user-friendly, the new website incorporates tools and applications that simplify the hotel booking process and multimedia features that enhance the visual appeal of the site.

Situated in Carnegie Hill, Hotel Wales is within steps of many major attractions and guests can readily explore Central Park, stroll down Museum Mile and shop Madison Avenue’s famous stores. Elegant accommodations are styled for comfort and convenience, with complimentary continental breakfast and 24-hour coffee and tea service.

Hotel Wales provides in-house catering by one of the Upper East Side’s most beloved and respected eateries, Paola’s. As “one of the city’s best-kept secrets” according to New York Magazine, Paola’s provides guests with homemade, authentic Italian cuisine whether they opt to dine in-room, the lounge or at The Carnegie View.

Guestroom rates and meeting and catering pricing vary based on seasonality. For more information, please visit http://www.hotelwalesnyc.com.
