Guillermo Vázquez Consuegra was born in Seville in 1945. He graduated in 1972 from the School of Architecture of Seville where he taught engineering until 1987. He was visiting professor at the University of Buenos Aires, Lausanne, Syracuse, Bologna, Venice, Mendrisio and visiting scholar at the Getty Center in Los Angeles. Course Director of Architecture at the University Complutense. Honorary Professor of the University of Seville since 2005. He has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions. His works and projects have been published in major magazines. He has participated in numerous seminars and conferences in Europe, South America and the United States. He has received numerous national and international awards and in 2005 received the National Prize of Spanish Architecture. Among his most important works include the buildings of public housing in Seville, Cadiz and Rota, the Pavilion of Expo ’92 Navigating the MuVIM Valence ia, the Museo del Mare in Genoa, the reorganization of the waterfront of Vigo, the Municipality of Tomares, the archive of Castilla La Mancha in Toledo and the Palace of Justice in Ciudad Real.
